Brad Stevens calls incoming rookies 'workers'

Until they can land a legitimate superstar, the Boston Celtics will build a solid foundation over hard-working youngsters who try to get better every day. 

Marcus Smart leads the way, and, according to Brad Stevens, behind him are three incoming rookies (R.J. Hunter, Terry Rozier and Jordan Mickey) who don't plan on taking any days off. 

Here's what Stevens recently said in a radio interview on WEEI:

“Those guys are workers. They’ll come in, they’ll work, they’ll add to that environment of work that I like the rest of our guys are doing, and so time will tell, but we’re anxious to see...If guys want to be coached, if guys want to work, then it doesn’t matter if you’re talking about an 8-year-old or you’re talking about a 25-year-old. Those guys come to work, and they’re coachable because they want to get better.”

Talent is incredibly valuable in the NBA, but that alone isn't enough for the Celtics. They want talented players who are also dedicated to getting better. That combination isn't easy to find, but apparently they have.

All that's left is the ever-elusive superstar.
