Blazers' Henderson may miss the start of the season
The Portland Trail Blazers definitely can't afford to have any of their rotation players go down before the season starts, but Gerald Henderson's hip may keep him out for the foreseeable future.
The 27-year-old was an overlooked asset included in the Noah Vonleh-Nicolas Batum deal over the summer. He can't shoot threes but has serious athleticism and is a versatile defender. He's tough.
There's a good chance Henderson eventually finds himself in the starting lineup once he's back to 100 percent. Portland will need his defense in the backcourt beside Damian Lillard, who struggles to keep up with the league's fastest ball-handlers.
