Blazers get Mason Plumlee and Pat Connaughton in draft day trade

The Portland Trail Blazers continued to stockpile valuable young assets on draft day, but it was done in a slightly unconventional way.

The Blazers traded journeyman point guard Steve Blake and the rights to first-round pick Rondae Hollis Jefferson to the Brookyln Nets in exchange for center Mason Plumlee and the rights to second-round pick Pat Connaughton.

In Plumlee and Connaughton, the Blazers have added plenty of athleticism. Mason Plumlee was in the dunk contest this past season, and Connaughton led all combine participants with a 44-inch vertical leap.
