Blake Griffin gets 16th technical, which triggers one-game suspension
Blake Griffin has picked up his 16th technical foul of the season, triggering a league-mandated one-game suspension.
Griffin was assessed the tech with 3:23 left in the second quarter on Tuesday night against the Denver Nuggets. He swung his right arm around to try to get the ball from Timofey Mozgov and hit Mozgov in the head.
Griffin pleaded his case with the referees to no avail.
Unless the league rescinds the tech, he will miss the Clippers' regular-season finale at Portland on Wednesday. It was Griffin's second tech in a week, having received his 15th last Wednesday against Oklahoma City.
