Anthony to miss game vs. San Antonio
Nuggets All-Star Carmelo Anthony will miss the game Wednesday night in San Antonio following a death in his family.
The team announced the news Wednesday morning. Nuggets general manager Masai Ujiri said in a release that the organization supports Anthony ''during this difficult time for him and his family.''
Anthony has been the subject of trade rumors since he spurned the team's three-year, $65 million extension over the summer. He's averaging 24 points and 8.3 rebounds this season.
The 26-year-old Anthony has recently been hampered by a strained right elbow, sitting out the last two days of practice leading up to the game with the Spurs.
