Analyzing every prospect Boston is projected to select in this year's draft

We're only eight days away from the NBA draft, and right now most mock drafts have the Boston Celtics taking several different prospects with their two first-round picks (16 and 28).

These things change daily, and will probably shuffle around quite a bit between now and June 25, but MassLive's Jay King still decided to have a look at every player the top mock drafts predict Boston will take, including UCLA's Kevon Looney:

"Another power forward, Looney needs time to develop his skills and frame, and he's not the most explosive athlete in the draft. Still, the 19-year-old already has a strong foundation on which to build, combining good rebounding, especially on the offensive glass, with 41.5-percent shooting from behind the 3-point arc."

Looney is projected by some sites as a lottery pick, but the Celtics would be lucky if he fell down to 16. Young players who have the potential to grow into something special are what GM Danny Ainge loves to gamble on, and that's exactly what Looney is.
