NBA All-Star Game 2022 Top Moments: Team LeBron tops Team Durant

The 2022 NBA All-Star Game on Sunday night in Cleveland was a homecoming for LeBron James and a great show for fans. As big a night was it was for LeBron, though, it was Stephen Curry who stole the show.

Curry nailed an All-Star Game record 16 3-pointers, scoring 50 to lead Team LeBron to a 163-160 victory.

For his efforts, Curry was named All-Star Game MVP for the first time.

James extended his winning streak to (4-0) as an All-Star team captain, which he has been in each of the four years since the league adopted a draft format to choose teams.

Before the All-Star Game tipped off, members of the NBA's 75-year anniversary team gathered for a team photo, with the opportunity of legends from the past to connect with current superstars of the NBA.

When the game finally got underway, Morant was the player to get the first major highlight of the night, catching a reverse alley-oop to get the fans off their feet.

Antetokounmpo and Booker faced one another in the NBA Finals last season, and are facing one another again in the All-Star Game. With the two trading buckets, it could be a glimpse into the future.

A brief appearance

Phoenix Suns point guard Chris Paul made a brief appearance in the All-Star Game in the first quarter but quickly exited the game.

Paul's entrance into the game was a bit surprising, as it was revealed before the game that he had suffered a right thumb fracture in his last game before the All-Star break and is expected to miss six to eight weeks.

Hometown hero

First-time All-Star Darius Garland was representing the host Cleveland Cavaliers, and he showed why he was selected to the game with deep range on his jumper.

Pyrotechnics

Curry is known for getting hot from distance in a hurry, and he did just that in the first half.

The two-time MVP drained eight 3-pointers in the first half, five of which came in the second quarter.

The 75 greatest players to play

At halftime, the NBA unveiled its 75 greatest players by position groups in front of the Cleveland crowd.

Still hot

Curry made eight 3-pointers in the first half, and added five more to his total early in the third quarter to set a new All-Star Game record for made 3-pointers.

But he wasn't done. He just kept taking them, and drilling them as if it was a drill.

He crossed the 50-point mark in the fourth quarter!

As amazing as Curry's performance was, it was LeBron who called game, nailing the winner in his former home.
