Whoa.

Just when it looked like this thing was heading back to San Antonio tied at two games apiece, the Knicks stunned the Spurs, overcoming a 29-point deficit to come back and win Game 4.

New York now owns a 3-1 lead, with Game 5 set for Saturday in San Antonio.

The previous record for a comeback in a Finals game was 24 points. It happened back in 2008, when the Celtics came back against the Lakers in Game 4 of the championship series. Boston took a 3-1 lead in that series and won the title in six games.

After the first quarter of Game 4, San Antonio led by 19, and stretched that lead to 27 by halftime, before going up 29 in the third. However, the Knicks outscored the Spurs 26-14 in the third frame and 32-16 in the final period, holding the Spurs to just 30 points in the second half, after they scored 41 and 35 in Quarters 1 and 2, respectively.

The Cavaliers are the only team in NBA history to overcome a 3-1 deficit in the NBA Finals. LeBron James & Co. pulled off the feat against the Warriors in 2016.
