2023 NBA Finals MVP Odds: Denver Nuggets' Nikola Jokić remains favorite

No joke – Denver's Nikola Jokić is the heavy favorite to be named NBA Finals Most Valuable Player.

With the Denver Nuggets up 3-1 on the Miami Heat, bettors may be looking at getting into the MVP futures market.

Let's look at the odds.

The Joker opened as a huge favorite to win the award, and understandably so, as he has led his team through a dominant playoff run, including a sweep of the Los Angeles Lakers.

He remained the favorite even after the Nuggets dropped Game 2 at home, but his odds lengthened.

But by bouncing back and winning Game 3 and Game 4, Jokić & Co. bounced back spectacularly, once again shifting the odds in a big way.

Jokić now sits as a huge favorite to win MVP, with his odds moving all the way to -10000 (bet $10 to win $10.10) after Game 4.

After Miami's Game 2 win, Bam Adebayo moved up the MVP odds board. His odds of winning the award have shifted significantly since the start of the series. Bam went from +6000 before Game 1 to +3000 before Game 2. The 6-foot-9 center's odds got as short as +650, but after Miami's consecutive losses, Adebayo's MVP odds sit at +1400.

Jimmy Butler was the second betting choice behind Jokić but has fallen to third on the odds board to win Finals MVP.

On the flip side, Jamal Murray's odds have taken a tumble. Before Game 1, he was the third favorite at +2200. After Denver's Game 2 loss, Murray lengthened all the way out to +4000.

Bettors love a long shot, so if you're looking for one to throw some money on the MVP market, Murray might be where you want to place your wager.
