ThorSport Racing switching to Tundras

ThorSport Racing will switch from Chevrolets to Toyota Tundras next season, sources tell FOXSports.com.

An announcement is expected on Wednesday.

ThorSport Racing made its NASCAR Camping World Truck Series debut in 1996.

The Sandusky, Ohio-based operation has competed full time since 1998. The company currently field trucks for Johnny Sauter, Matt Crafton and Dakoda Armstrong.

Sauter, 33, had a career-high second-place finish in the Truck points standings, bolstered by two wins, 11 top fives and 16 top-10 finishes in 25 starts. Sauter lost the Truck title by a mere six points to Austin Dillon despite winning the rain-shortened season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Crafton, 35, finished eighth in the Truck series and posted his second career Truck win this season at Iowa Speedway.

Armstrong is one of the up-and-comers to keep an eye on in NASCAR. In seven Truck starts, the 20-year-old scored a career-best ninth at Kentucky Speedway.
