Stewart-Haas Racing names Regan Smith driver of No. 41 for Las Vegas

For the third consecutive week, Regan Smith will sub for Kurt Busch behind the wheel of the No. 41 Stewart-Haas Racing Chevrolet SS for the upcoming NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race weekend Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Busch was indefinitely suspended by NASCAR on Feb. 20, but has begun the process to seek reinstatement.

Meanwhile, Smith drove the No. 41 to a 16th-place finish Feb. 22 in the season-opening Daytona 500 and a 17th-place finish last Sunday at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

SHR said in a statement Monday that "A driver for the No. 41 team at next weekend's Sprint Cup race at Phoenix International Raceway and subsequent races has not been determined."
