Senna gets Hispania backing despite British GP axe

Hispania Racing says Bruno Senna will drive in the remaining races of the Formula One season despite being dropped for this weekend's British Grand Prix.

The 26-year-old Brazilian, who is the nephew of the late three-time world champion Ayrton Senna, has been replaced at Silverstone by Hispania's test and reserve driver Sakon Yamamoto.

But Hispania said Friday that Senna will drive in the remaining races of the Formula One season.

The statement stressed that Senna ''has all the support of the Spanish team.''

Senna has finished only three of the nine races in his debut season in F1.
