See the Sprint Cup entry list for Chase race No. 9 at Phoenix
The NASCAR season is winding down as the Can-Am 500 at Phoenix International Raceway serves as the final race in the Chase for the Sprint Cup Round of 8 before four drivers duel it out at Homestead-Miami Speedway for the Sprint Cup championship.
The entry list for Sunday's race is straightforward with no major surprises. Gray Gaulding makes his second career Sprint Cup start in the No. 30 The Motorsports Group Chevrolet and Matt DiBenedetto has been listed to drive the No. 83 BK Racing Toyota, but that might change if he doesn't clear the concussion protocol that held him out of Sunday's race at Texas Motor Speedway. Jeffrey Earnhardt, who filled in for DiBenedetto is slated to drive the No. 32 Go Fas Racing Chevrolet so another driver would need to suit up for the 83-car if DiBenedetto can't go.
Jimmie Johnson and Carl Edwards have their championship tickets punched and wait to see who the final two drivers will be that join them in the Championship 4 at Homestead.
Kevin Harvick has won five of the last six races at Phoenix and serves as the favorite to clinch a spot in the final round of the Chase with a win on Sunday.
Joey Logano, Denny Hamlin, Matt Kenseth, and Kyle Busch are all separated by two points heading into the elimination race and it's likely one of those drivers will fill the fourth championship spot. Kurt Busch currently sits eighth in the points and trails the cutline by 32 points, putting him in a must-win situation this weekend.
