NASCAR's champ offers driving lessons at Daytona
The best way to understand why the new car in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series is so squirrely around Daytona International Speedway is to get in a car at over 150 miles per hour and feel the worn pavement first hand.
That opportunity arose courtesy of the new Chevrolet Camaro and three-time Cup champion and 2006 Daytona 500 winner Jimmie Johnson. While the new Camaro's 6.2 Liter LS3 Chevy V-8 has a few less ponies than the standard Cup car, even at reduced speeds it became clear that any car travelling more than 100 miles per hour would be a handful.
