Built on the third-generation driver's North Carolina farm, which he long ago dubbed "Dirty Mo Acres," this treehouse is far from ordinary, of course.

Its front porch sits about 20 feet off the ground, and the back side stands between 12 and 14 feet in the air. Its sophisticated construction required the use of block-and-tackle and ropes.

The treehouse, which features a staircase and rests on a hill, is insulated and wrapped with DuPont Tyvek in addition to being decked out on the inside, thanks to Junior's fiancee, Amy.

Earnhardt and one of his close, longtime friends, Sonny Lunsford, headed up the construction based on inspiration the driver of the No. 88 Chevrolet and his fiancee drew from the Animal Planet show Treehouse Masters.

Lunsford cut all the structural steel for the build, then tack-welded them together and shipped them to JR Motorsports, where they were welded fully by the fabrication shop of the NASCAR XFINITY Series team that Earnhardt co-owns.

The project started in October 2014 and was completed in the spring of last year.

"It's a great place to sit back, drink beer and relax, unwind a little bit," said Earnhardt, who turned 41 last October. "Look across the woods out over the property and just take it all in."
