Kyle Busch would like to get win at Pocono Raceway 'off the list'

After completely destroying the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series field at Indianapolis Motor Speedway to win a second-straight Crown Royal 400 at the Brickyard, Kyle Busch is now shifting his attention to a track he's never won at.

In 23 starts at Pocono Raceway, Busch has earned four top fives and eight top 10's.

But, Victory Lane still eludes the Joe Gibbs Racing driver at the Pennsylvania track.

After Busch won at Indy last year, he turned around and battled hard for the win with Team Penske's Joey Logano, but both drivers ran their fuel tanks dry before the checkered flag flew.

This time at Pocono, Busch is hoping he can keep up the same momentum with a different result.

"I thought last year the momentum did carry over," said Busch. "Last year we won (the Brickyard 400), then we were running right behind Joey Logano for much of the last stint at Pocono. We thought we had just enough fuel to make it, but we didn't and ran out. Joey ran out first, then we got the lead and then we ran out. We ran a good race and ran up front all day. Joey and I were kind of in a league of our own."

At the Brickyard, Busch became the first driver ever to win the Cup Series and XFINITY Series races at Indy from the pole in the same weekend.

And if Busch can lead 40 more laps in Sunday's Pennsylvania 400, he'll become the 14th driver in Cup Series history to lead 12,000 laps or more.

Pocono and Charlotte Motor Speedway are the only two tracks where Busch has yet to win, but he has one more shot at both venues this season to complete the career track sweep.

"I would certainly like to check that box and get that one off the list, which only leaves Charlotte," Busch said. "We'll just focus on one thing at a time."
