Kyle Busch leading the way in media coverage prior to Homestead
It pays to be the defending NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion, evidently.
Joyce Julius & Associates, an Ann Arbor, Michigan-based company that measures media exposure for athletes, sponsors and teams, tweeted Thursday that 2015 Sprint Cup Series champion Kyle Busch has gotten more media exposure since Nov. 14 than any of his three championship rivals has.
The big surprise, perhaps, is the guy ranked last.
That’s Jimmie Johnson, who will be racing for his seventh Sprint Cup Series championship on Sunday, which is kind of a big deal.
But while Johnson ranks behind Busch, Joey Logano and Carl Edwards right now, should he prevail on Sunday, his numbers ought to take a huge upward spike.
