Keselowski enjoying dream NASCAR run

What’s up guys!

I hope that everyone is enjoying the start to their holiday season. Thanksgiving, for me, was awesome. It was a great way for me to celebrate the 2010 season with my family and friends. Lots of turkey, naps and football is my idea of winding down after a long year. The (Detroit) Lions gave the (New England) Patriots all they could for 30 minutes, unfortunately football is a 60-minute game.

I can’t describe the feeling of writing this last blog entry as the 2010 NASCAR Nationwide Series champion.

We had the banquet last week in South Beach, Fla., following the race weekend at Homestead, and to see the joy in Mr. Penske’s face is something that will stick with me for a long time. I’ve said it before, there are very few things you can give a guy that has accomplished so much like he has and I’m honored to give him his first NASCAR championship.

Many people have asked me if I’m going to run the full Nationwide Series schedule next season, even if NASCAR Sprint Cup Series drivers are not allowed to run for the driver’s championship. The answer is yes, I will be a full-time competitor again next season.

We have great partners in Discount Tire, Ruby Tuesday and Dodge that we want to continue to get to Victory Lane. I love that series. Having the opportunity to race in it was a big reason I made the move to Penske Racing. I’ll probably dabble in it until I retire from NASCAR, not because I feel like I can go down there and pick up an easy win, but because I have friendships and relationships in that series that go beyond trophies and checkered flags.

However, I am a Cup series driver and our main focus is getting the No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge team fully prepared for the 2011 Cup season.

There is a tradition and a legacy to uphold when you get behind the wheel of the Blue Deuce. I think of excellence and consistency when I think of that car and there are spoils and pressure that go along with that.

It’s an exciting time in the life of Brad Keselowski. Coming off a Nationwide Series championship season to moving into one of the iconic rides in NASCAR history, I could not have imagined this just a few short years ago.

Growing up in racing, I always heard that you know you’ve made it if you are sponsored by beer, oil or cigarettes. At Penske Racing, we have the beer and oil part down. It’s going to be very exciting to represent Miller Lite next season. I’ve already done some photo and video shoots with them for next year and their creative department can come up with some hilarious material. It’s going to be a lot of fun.

I hope everyone enjoys the rest of 2010 and has a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I’ve really enjoyed this blog on FOXSports.com. Hopefully you learned a little bit about what makes Brad Keselowski tick.

See you in Victory Lane!
