Keselowski captures Nationwide pole at Watkins Glen
WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. -- Brad Keselowski has won the Nationwide pole for Saturday's Zippo 200 at Watkins Glen International.
Keselowski, the defending race winner, turned a fast lap of 124.194 mph in the No. 22 Ford in the second and final round of qualifying to edge teammate Joey Logano and give Roger Penske a front row sweep.
It's the first Nationwide Series pole at Watkins Glen for Keselowski, his fourth of the season and 18th of his career in NASCAR's second-tier series. It's also his first road course pole.
Kyle Busch will start third, followed by Marcos Ambrose and Regan Smith.
Series points leader Chase Elliott will start 15th.
