Iffy weather at New Hampshire should clear up for weekend
There's good news and bad news in terms of weather at Loudon, New Hampshire, where this weekend the NASCAR Sprint Cup and Camping World Truck Series will race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
The bad news is that rain was falling Friday morning at the Magic Mile, which may affect today's schedule.
Sprint Cup practice is slated for 11:30 a.m. to 12:55 p.m. ET, with qualifying at 4:45 p.m.
Truck Series practices are scheduled for 1:30-2:25 p.m., with Happy Hour from 3:30-4:25 p.m.
If it continues, rain could alter today's on-track activities.
The good news is that Friday afternoon looks good and more importantly, so do Saturday and Sunday.
Weather.com puts the chance of rain at Loudon at just 15 percent after 1 p.m. ET today, while the probability of precipitation on Saturday is 10 percent and on Sunday just zero percent.
The NASCAR XFINITY Series is at Kentucky Speedway in Sparta, Kentucky, where the weather is forecast to be beautiful Friday and Saturday, with the race scheduled for Saturday night at 8 p.m. ET.
So it should be an exciting weekend of racing, where weather shouldn't be a factor after this morning.
