Hamilton? Danny Hemlin? Just call Denny Hamlin a winner
Geez, you win the Daytona 500 and then the Cheez-It 355 at Watkins Glen. And still you get NO respect.
At least that's how Denny Hamlin had to be feeling after first the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver was referred to as Denny "Hamilton" in a USA Today headline, and then he was called "Danny Hemlin" on the Dan Patrick Show. (We're pretty sure the second one was a goof on the first, but still ... ).
At least it looked like Hamlin could smile about it. Hey, winning races apparently puts you in a good mood no matter what folks call you.
It brought to mind an XFINITY race at New Hampshire in July of 2015 when Hamlin upset Austin Dillon by moving him out of the way to get to Victory Lane. An agitated Dillon told the media afterward that he didn't know what to call Hamlin.
When asked about what Dillon should call him, Hamlin simply grinned and said, "A winner."
