Ganassi reveals Grand-Am plans for '12

Chip Ganassi Racing has announced its Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car series plans for 2012, including a two-car effort for the season-opening Rolex 24 at Daytona.

Scott Pruett and Memo Rojas will team with IndyCar driver Graham Rahal and sports car driver Joey Hand in the No. 01 Telmex/Target Dinan-prepared BMW Riley, while IndyCar drivers Scott Dixon and Dario Franchitti will join with NASCAR Sprint Cup drivers Juan Pablo Montoya and Jamie McMurray in the No. 02 Target/Telmex Dinan-prepared BMW Riley for the second consecutive year.

The organization is the five-time and reigning Grand-Am Rolex Sports Cars Series champion (2004, 2006, 2008, 2010, 2011). It won the Rolex 24 at Daytona and the championship last season. In addition, Franchitti is the defending IndyCar champion, while Hand is the defending Rolex 24 at Daytona and Sebring 12 Hour GT Winner, as well as the American LeMans Series GT titleholder.
