Danica Patrick's All-Star Race turns sour with left-front hub issue

Danica Patrick's bid for her first NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race victory came to an end early when a burnt-up left-front hub sent her behind the wall in Segment 3 of the five-segment race.

As the field battled on the track, the Stewart-Haas Racing crew members were hard at work diagnosing the problem as Patrick watched on intently. When the third segment came to an end and the rest of the field raced off pit road, Patrick was busy putting on her gear and climbing back behind the wheel of the No. 10 Chevrolet.

This was not the only issue for Patrick on Saturday, as she was forced to start from the rear of the field after an engine change following Friday's Sprint Showdown. Despite finishing ninth in that event, Patrick advanced to Saturday night's main event by winning the Sprint Fan Vote for the second time in three years.
