Cup driver Smith to race with broken wrist

NASCAR driver Regan Smith will race this weekend with after fracturing his left wrist during a crash in last Sunday's race at Infineon Raceway.

The Furniture Row Racing competitor has been fitted with a custom-molded splint for Sprint Cup activities at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

The fracture is in the bone located at the base of the thumb. Smith was involved in a crash on Lap 67 of 110 at Sonoma, Calif.

The 26-year-old Smith is being treated for the injury at OrthoCarolina in Charlotte, N.C.
