Clint Bowyer's Darlington throwback car a tribute to Benny Parsons

On Saturday, HScott Motorsports unveiled Clint Bowyer's throwback car for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Bojangles' Southern 500 on Sept. 4.

Bowyer's No. 15 Chevrolet will pay tribute to late 2017 NASCAR Hall of Fame inductee Benny Parsons. The paint scheme resembles the No. 72 car Parsons drove to a NASCAR Premier Series championship in 1973.

Parsons also earned 21 wins, 20 poles and 283 top-10 finishes during his 21-year Cup career.

He along with Mark Martin, Rick Hendrick, Richard Childress and Raymond Parks will officially be inducted into the Hall of Fame next January.
