Bank of America ROVAL 400 highlights: AJ Allmendinger wins at Charlotte

The NASCAR Cup Series' 10-race playoff schedule continued Sunday with the Bank of America ROVAL 400 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, and we had you covered with all the action from AJ Allmendinger's huge win!

NASCAR's top stars battled it out over 109 laps on the 17-turn, 2.32-mile road course in Concord, North Carolina.

It was the third and final race of the round of 12. Moving onto the round of 8 are William Byron (won Texas), Ryan Blaney (won Talladega), Denny Hamlin, Christopher Bell, Chris Buescher, Martin Truex Jr., Kyle Larson and Tyler Reddick. The four winless drivers in the round with lowest in the standings — Ross Chastain, Bubba Wallace, Brad Keselowski and Kyle Busch — were eliminated from championship contention.

Green!

Reddick led the opening lap over Bell and Wallace, with Toyotas running 1-2-3 to start things off.

Elsewhere, Erik Jones spun right in front of Kyle Larson exiting the frontstretch chicane but no caution came out. Reddick continued to lead the rest of the field. He was about 1.1 seconds ahead with 10 laps to go in Stage 1.

Penalty!

Meanwhile, Keselowski was penalized for missing the frontstretch chicane and owed a pass-through as a result.

Stage 1 in the books

Reddick dominated on his way to winning the opening stage, earning 10 crucial playoff points in the process.

Wallace, Chastain, Truex and Bell rounded on the top-five finishers in Stage 1.

Contact initiated

Daniel Suárez made contact with Bell's car in the restart zone as the second stage got underway.

New leader!

Chase Elliott grabbed the lead from Bell early in Stage 2, as he aimed to snap a 29-race winless streak. 

Seeing yellow

A caution came out for Josh Billicki smacking the wall after he connected with Corey LaJoie on the track.

Stage 2 ended under caution, giving Elliott the stage win. Meanwhile, Hamlin clinched a spot in the round of 8 on points.

Making moves

Busch, desperately in need of a win to make it to the next round, got passed by Allmendinger early in Stage 3.

Done for

Hamlin, who secured a spot in the round of 8 by virtue of points at the end of Stage 2, spun out again in the frontstretch chicane. This time, a hit from Mike Rockenfeller ended his day early and brought out another caution. 

Meanwhile, Blaney led with 33 laps to go.

Collision!

Michael McDowell was involved in a crash in the final stage, colliding with Jones after he spun out once again.

That contact ended Jones' race early.

Down to the wire

Wallace and Austin Cindric got tangled up late in the final stage, but both were able to recover and kept racing.

Chaos ensues!

Down the final stretch of the race, Keselowkski spun out, Chastain opted to pit and Bell contacted with Suárez.

Fire!

Ricky Stenhouse Jr.'s vehicle went up in flames late in Sunday's race, but he was able to safely escape the burning car as another caution came out.

Final strech

At the restart, Allmendinger and Busch were battling hard, with Byron hot on their tails.

Victorious!

In the end, Allmendinger came away with the win, followed by Byron, Busch, Ty Gibbs and Joey Logano.
