When Nicky Hayden did a lap at the Isle of Man

During the summer of 2011, 2006 MotoGP World Champion Nicky Hayden got to do a parade lap around the Snaefell Mountain Course during the Isle of Man TT.

Hayden was at the circuit along with MotoGP legend Mick Doohan, current MotoGP rider Cal Crutchlow and Isle of Man TT winner Ian Hutchinson for a champions parade lap in front of the fans.

“I’m looking forward to this lap,” said Hayden, who was riding for Ducati at the time. “I want to see what it’s all about and probably turn it up a little bit.”

“From all of the Isle of Man TT community, we send our best wishes to Nicky Hayden and his family at this difficult time,” says the Official Isle of Man TT YouTube channel, which uploaded the video on Friday. “It was a great to see Nicky at the TT 2011 when he visited the event and took part in a champions parade lap.”

Nicky Hayden passed away on Monday, May 22 from injuries sustained in a bicycle crash. He was 35.
