Ride onboard as Hinchcliffe makes return 4 months after serious crash
James Hinchcliffe suffered serious injuries in a crash during practice for the Indianapolis 500 on May 18 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Four months later, he found himself back behind the wheel of his No. 5 Schmidt Peterson Motorsports Honda for the first time since his crash.
Hinchcliffe turned laps at the 4.048-mile, 14-turn Road America road course in Elkart Lake, Wisconsin on Monday as the Verizon IndyCar Series gets set to return to the popular road course for a race in 2016.
Hinchcliffe had a visor camera in his car enabling us to enjoy the ride as the 28-year-old Canadian made his return to the cockpit.
