MotoGP: HRC expands partnership with Red Bull

Since 2006, Austrian-based energy drink manufacturer Red Bull has partnered with the Honda Racing Corperation.

Now, after nine years (which has seen the team score 58 wins, 172 podiums, 63 pole position, 73 fastest laps, three rider's championships and four constructor's) Red Bull looks to expand their partnership with the HRC team.

Beginning in 2015, the Red Bull logo will feature, for the first time, on the Honda RC213V machines of Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa, and Red Bull will become the Official Energy Drink partner of the Repsol Honda Team until the end of 2016.

HRC teammates Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa currently lead the 2014 MotoGP point standings, with the former having won every race of the season so far.

"We are delighted to have the opportunity to grow our partnership with Red Bull," said HRC Executive Vice President Shuhei Nakamoto. "It is an iconic global brand with whom we've worked alongside for nine years, so this was the logical next step. I'm sure that this new partnership will increase our visibility, not only as Honda, but also MotoGP on a whole to a wider global audience, which can only be good for the sport."
