Lewis Hamilton warmed up for the British Grand Prix by going karting

Lewis Hamilton will try to win his third consecutive British Grand Prix at Silverstone this weekend and potentially overtake teammate Nico Rosberg at the top of the driver's standings, with Mercedes bosses promising that the two title contenders will be allowed to compete following an accident on the last lap in Austria last Sunday. 

Before taking the track in his W07 Hybird, Hamilton warmed up with his Mercedes team members in a slightly less powerful machine at an indoor karting track in Worcester, England. 

While it may seem strange for a triple World Champion to be zipping around on a go-kart, F1 drivers typically all start their careers karting as children, and many go for joyrides in between Grands Prix.
