Lewis Hamilton invited to MotoGP test by Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo

Formula One World Champion Lewis Hamilton has an open invitation to have a ride on a factory Yamaha M1 courtesy of Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo.

And Rossi is even happy to have Hamilton to come to his private ranch in Italy and hang out and do some dirt tracking.

Mercedes F1 star Hamilton is a bike nut and has expressed a desire to one day try the adrenaline rush of a full factory MotoGP prototype.

Rossi has discussed the idea with Hamilton.

"I speak with Hamilton when he comes to some MotoGP races and he always says to me he wants to come and try, also to my ranch," Rossi said.

"I say to him: 'You ride a motorcycle, or you have to start from zero?'

"But he said that he has good skill and he rides a 450 [motocross bike] and everything.

“You need a little bit of experience before to try the MotoGP bike. But our bike is very easy, so we could try to kill a little bit of power and for sure is good if Lewis will try the M1.”

Lorenzo was also happy to facilitate Hamilton's need for two wheel speed, with just one condition.

"Lewis is very passionate about motorcycles. I think he rides some motocross, so with pleasure I will lend my M1 to him -- maybe with a big insurance!” Lorenzo said.

Yamaha factory riders Rossi and Lorenzo are in Indianapolis preparing for Sunday's 10th round of the MotoGP World Championship.
