JR Motorsports to field Truck Series entry for Cole Custer

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (AP) JR Motorsports will field a Camping World Truck Series team in 10 races this season for Cole Custer.

Custer turns 17 this month and will drive the No. 00 Chevrolet for JRM. It will by funded by Custer's longtime sponsor, Haas Automation, and run out of a JRM satellite shop.

It will be the first Truck Series team for JRM, an organization owned by Dale Earnhardt Jr., sister Kelley and Rick Hendrick.

JRM currently fields three entries in NASCAR's second-tier XFINITY Series, as well as a pair of Late Model entries.

Custer made his Truck debut last season with Haas Racing Development. He became the youngest winner in a national series event with his victory at New Hampshire.
