IndyCar champion signs his toy cars on sale at airport

IndyCar Series driver Simon Pagenaud was on hand for the Indianapolis Awards Banquet earlier this week, where he got to celebrate his first career IndyCar championship.

The French racing driver was heading back from the banquet on Wednesday when he found a display of toy Indy cars on display at the Indianapolis Airport.

Pagenaud went over to display and started signing all of the No. 22 HPE cars; the real-life version of which he drove to the championship for Team Penske this year.

Pagenaud will look to defend his crown in 2017, with the season set to kick off on March 12 with the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg.
