Honda F1 introduces upgraded engines for Button and Alonso
Honda will introduce a significant engine upgrade for both Jenson Button and Fernando Alonso at Silverstone this weekend.
Honda says that the revised engines will have V6 intake updates, which are intended to increase combustion efficiency.
Honda has used two of its 2016 engine tokens on the change, which means that it still has 10 out of 32 still to deploy before the end of the year.
Honda F1 boss Yusuke Hasegawa said: "The track is long and flat, and power and fuel hungry, which will no doubt create a fierce midfield battle for us, but I think we've learned from both Baku and Austria that we're definitely progressing forward as a team, and it's up to us to extract the most out of the car throughout the weekend."
