F1 driver Kevin Magnussen denies rumors of 2017 IndyCar deal
Kevin Magnussen has denied suggestions that he is closing in on a 2017 IndyCar deal, and the Dane insists that his main focus is staying at Renault for a second season.
Magnussen used his Twitter account to tell the world that he is still waiting for a decision from Renault and, to underline his frustration, he then added an emoji showing a gun next to a face.
“Seeing rumors around about me in IndyCar,” he wrote. “I'm a big fan of IndyCar but those are really just rumors. Nothing to it.
“I feel confident my future is in F1 and there should be no doubt I intent to stay with Renault Sport F1 for many years if I can.
“Unfortunately there is nothing yet to announce regarding my future, but hopefully there will be soon. I too am getting impatient!”
