Toronto FC signs 2 defenders
Toronto FC signed defenders Adrian Cann and Maksim Usanov on Monday.
Cann has spent the last two seasons in Denmark with Esberg FB. Before that he played for the Vancouver Whitecaps and Montreal Impact.
``We're delighted to complete the signing of another Canadian international,'' Mo Johnston, Toronto's director of soccer, said in a statement. ``Adrian will add to our backline with his height and his strength, so we're looking forward to seeing what he can do on the field for us.
Cann was drafted 16th overall in 2004 by the Colorado Rapids, he made two appearances before being released midway through the season.
The 25-year-old Usanov, who is awaiting a Canadian work permit, was most recently with FC Krasnodar in Russia. Prior to that he played in Latvia for FC Skonto.
