Hurricane Irene postpones Timbers-United game

The MLS game between the Portland Timbers and D.C. United on Saturday has been postponed because of Hurricane Irene.

The teams were to have played at RFK Stadium at 2 p.m. A makeup date will be announced next week.

The Timbers have made arrangements to return to Portland on Friday.
