Yankees' Warren on bullpen move: 'I was a little frustrated at first'

In an expected move, the New York Yankees moved their best starter to the bullpen.

While it sounds like something that wouldn't normally happen, Adam Warren's "demotion" was a move that is understood, according to LoHud Yankees Blog:

“I was a little frustrated at first. Because I want to be a starter. But I understood. They sat down and talked to me about it, explained it. I understood where they were coming from. I told them I’m not going to be unhappy in the bullpen; I enjoyed being out of the bullpen the last couple years. I’m not upset by any means at that. For me at this point, it’s just getting back into the routine in the bullpen and we’ll go from there.”

Warren seems to take the adjustment in stride, which is good because the Yankees will rely on him heavily in the pen.
