Yankees' Miller tabbed as Mariano Rivera AL Reliever of the Year

In one of the better, low-key acquisitions prior to the 2015 season, the New York Yankees signed Andrew Miller and made him their closer -- despite him not handling full-time closing duties.

He took the ninth inning and never looked back, earning 36 saves and pitching to a 2.04 ERA, striking out 100 over 61 2/3 innings.

At the time of the Miller signing, the Yankees also had Dellin Betances, who many saw as a future closer. Instead, the team slotted Betances in the eighth inning, forming one of the best bullpen duos in the league.
