Yankees GM Cashman plays bartender

New York Yankees general manager Brian Cashman rolled up his sleeves on Wednesday night. But he wasn’t preparing to get down and dirty in contract negotiations.

He was stepping behind the bar at Foley’s in New York to serve as a celebrity bartender and help raise funds for prostate cancer research, according to a Yardbarker blog.

Cashman signed a “one-day contract” for the bartending gig, quipped radio personality Ed Randall, for whom the charity is named.

The GM got into the, uh, spirit of the event, saying, “I served a Mets fan and a Red Sox fan and I left plenty of head on those beers.”
