Yankees' Brett Gardner replaces injured Alex Gordon on All-Star roster
New York Yankees outfielder Brett Gardner is an All-Star for the first time in his career.
Gardner was previously a finalist for the Final Vote, but it seems he will be pulled from that contest. Heading into Thursday's games, Gardner is hitting .298 with 9 home runs, 39 RBI, 15 stolen bases and 21 doubles in 78 games.
The outfielder is replacing injured Kansas City Royals outfielder Alex Gordon.
