World Series Top Plays: Game 6

After seizing Game 5 with a historic performance from Clayton Kershaw, the Dodgers leaned on their bullpen Tuesday night to close out the World Series.

Arozarena is unstoppable

In just Tampa Bay's second at-bat, Randy Arozarena sent a ball out of the park and gave the Rays a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning.

Randy Arozarena continues his scorching hot World Series with a solo homer in the 1st inning. The home run was his 10th of the postseason. The Tampa Bay Rays lead the Los Angeles Dodgers, 1-0, in Game 6 of the World Series.

Arozarena has homered in three of the last four games, and added his name to the record books with his latest shot.

Snell is straight nasty

Tampa Bay's Blake Snell has only thrown 24 pitches and struck out five through two innings.

Snell's streak continues

Snell struck out the side in the fourth inning, the second time tonight he's struck out the side on the night.

Tampa Bay Rays starter Blake Snell was dominant through 5 1/3 innings pitched, striking out nine batters and giving up no runs or walks. Snell left the Rays with a 1-0 lead over the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 6 of the World Series in the 6th inning.

Snell pulled for Nick Anderson

Rays manager Kevin Cash decided to turn to his bullpen in the 6th inning, removing Blake Snell after just 73 pitches.

Snell had struck out nine and only allowed two hits at the time he was pulled.

Naturally, pulling Snell immediately benefitted the Dodgers, who scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth.

Tampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Blake Snell was dealing, but was removed after just 73 pitches by manager Kevin Cash in favor of a reliever in the sixth inning. That seemed to spark the Los Angeles Dodgers who scored two runs and took a late 2-1 lead in Game 6 of the World Series.

Dodgers get insurance

Los Angeles' Mookie Betts hit a hanging slider for a solo home run in the eighth inning to extend the Dodgers’ lead to 3-1.

And that was just enough, as the Dodgers left Game 6 as the 2020 World Series champions!
