World Series Game 7 ticket prices add to intrigue
World Series Game 7. The Chicago Cubs haven't won it all since 1908. The Cleveland Indians haven't been champs since 1948. Something's gotta give.
Surprisingly, it seems that the price of tickets for the contest that will end someone's drought are weakening.
The ticket prices on Vividseats.com began Tuesday evening in the $1,500 range for standing room.
The Cubs jumped to a quick lead and the "get-in" price slipped a couple hundred dollars to $1,300.
Once the Cubs had downed the Indians and Game 7 was locked in, one would think tickets would skyrocket in price.
Not so fast.
The market continued to soften and standing room dropped on one post to about $1,150. A seat would cost you a couple hundred more.
It will be interesting to see if people try and capitalize at this point or if someone is counting on the price continuing to tumble.
