World of thanks: Giants' Bochy delivers classic gift to Flannery

Tim Flannery got quite a holiday surprise from his former boss.

San Francisco Giants manager Bruce Bochy bought Flannery a replica of the World Series trophy, his way of saying thanks after Flannery was a part of his coaching staff during the team's World Series championship runs in 2010, 2012 and 2014.

Flannery announced after the 2014 season that he was stepping down as third-base coach after eight seasons with the organization. But his relationship with Bochy dates back to their time together on the San Diego Padres' coaching staff.

The Giants are hoping their even-year success continues in 2016, though Flannery won't be a part of it this time.
