Will Ferrell brings back Harry Caray impression to celebrate Cubs' World Series run

Harry Caray was not only one of the most beloved play-by-play announcers in Chicago Cubs' history, but he was also one of Will Ferrell's greatest impersonations during the actor's run on Saturday Night Live.

It had been quite some time since Ferrell revisited his impression of Caray, who died in 1998, but with the Cubs back in the World Series for the first time in 71 years, this week is as good a time as any to bring him back.

On Monday night, that's just what he did, bringing his Caray character to Jimmy Kimmel Live!, where he talked about the Cubs' World Series run, reflected on memories of Donald Trump in the Cubs' press box and drank some beer. He also followed in Vin Scully's footsteps and provided play-by-play for the highlight reel of Kimmel's celebrity softball game home run.

These days, it seems like Ferrell plays just about the exact same character in all his new roles, so it's great to see that he can still deliver when it comes to the classics. This was certainly an enjoyable appearance for fans of Ferrell's Caray impersonation, but probably less so for fans of Wetzel's Pretzels. It's never easy to witness a pretzel tragedy of that magnitude.
