Watch the home run that won the San Francisco Giants the NL Wild Card Game
The San Francisco Giants and New York Mets battled in an epic National League Wild Card Game, which was scoreless through eight innings.
Mets starter Noah Syndergaard lasted seven innings, striking out 10 without giving up a run. He was so dominant, he produced this ridiculous stat:
Noah Syndergaard threw 42 pitches 98+ mph tonight. That's more than the Phillies (41) and Indians (35) threw all year. #Thor

But in the top of the ninth, Conor Gillaspie stepped to the plate for the Giants with two men on against Jeurys Familia and crushed a three-run homer.
That was all Madison Bumgarner needed, who threw a complete game shutout for the Giants to win 3-0 and advance San Francisco to the NLDS where it'll face the Cubs.
