Umpire shoves Cubs' Javier Baez after he crosses home plate
Javier Baez did what he was supposed to do. He just didn't do it in the best place.
After crossing home plate in the second inning of the Chicago Cubs Friday tilt against the Seattle Mariners, the Chicago Cubs infielder immediately turned to instruct teammate David Ross, in hot pursuit behind him, on whether he needed to slide into the plate.
Unfortunately for Baez, he pulled up to conduct the proceedings right in front of home plate umpire Eric Cooper, who shoved him out of the way. Because good job, Baez. But get the hell out the way.
That’s great, @javy23baez … but move. pic.twitter.com/fxDHcOkg4R

"Get off my lawn, Javi."
The Cubs lead the Mariners 10-0 in the bottom of the sixth.
Dan is on Twitter. Baez is a process.
