Tigers manager Brad Ausmus suspended one game for hoodie antics
Detroit Tigers manager Brad Ausmus was ejected from Monday’s game against the Minnesota Twins, but the way he left the field is keeping him out of Tuesday’s matchup as well.
Major League Baseball suspended Ausmus one game for not only arguing with home plate umpire Doug Eddings, who tossed him, but then removing his hoodie and covering home plate with it as he left the field.

Ausmus’ Tigers are 17-21 so far this season, following a disappointing 74-87 finish last year. Detroit won the AL Central with 90 victories in 2014, his first season as a manager, but has fallen on hard times since.
