Tigers' explode for 12 runs, four homers against Mariners

Miggy who?

You'd never know Miguel Cabrera wasn't in Detroit's lineup Monday night, as the Tigers offense exploded for 12 runs -- four of which were homers -- against the Seattle Mariners.

After losing the team's (and league's) best hitter to the 15-day disabled list over the weekend, the Tigers' offensive struggles seemed to be spinning out of control.

But the bats woke up for 19 hits Monday night, proving that the loss of Miggy doesn't mean the season is headed down the drain just yet.

Cabrera is expected to miss about six weeks with a strained calf.

Here's hoping the Tigers can continue to produce without King Miggy until he returns to his throne in mid-August.
