This praying mantis had the best seat at the Royals game

The Kansas City Royals might as well adopt the praying mantis as their new official mascot. A huge praying mantis appeared last week in the Royal's dugout, and the friendly insect may or may not have spurred the Royals to a comeback win over the Blue Jays. Over the next few days, the Rally Mantis became a beloved member of the team, and the Royals even took it on a road trip to Minnesota.

Sadly, Rally Mantis I died on that trip, and the Royals paid tribute with a beautiful video. 

In an incredible turn of events, another praying mantis appeared Monday night on the roof of the Royals' dugout, this time in Detroit.
